Corbin(12-7) has been kinda hot lately winning 6 of their last 8 (losses to South Laurel and Pineville) but have to travel up the road to London and face the Jags. How will the Hounds fair in this matchup?

 

North (9-11) came into the season as the preseason #2 behind South Laurel in the 13th region but has struggled a little bit lately which resulted in a 4 game losing skid. Granted the 4 games were quite tough minus what I would consider an upset to North Oldham. The other 3 losses were to Clay County, Scott County, and a pretty good Simon Kenton team. Can the Jags bounce back with confidence against the defending 13th region champs? Don't let the Jags record fool you, they have played one of the toughest if not THE toughest schedule in Kentucky.

 

I'm gonna stick to my roots and pick the Hounds to pull this one out 74-68 in a game that doesn't end til the final 30 seconds.

The keys for Corbin to win.

 

1. Stop the dribble penetration(playing a zone would help)

2. Limit North's points off of turnovers to a minimum.

3. Someone has to hit from the outside.

4. Swim and Crawford must stay out of foul trouble.

North has struggled for a couple of reasons. Losing 7 seniors (4 started) and the others all contributed. Plus playing a very difficult schedule. Still, they have to start using that game experience they have gained to their advantage. They have lost a couple of games they shouldn't have lost.

 

This will be a very good game, right down to the wire.
