I attended this game and a classic isn't what comes to mind. 21 runs in fast pitch? If this was a slow pitch game at softball city then maybe but i like my fast pitch with a little more pitching and defense. Plus 12 walks.

You are entitled to your opinion.

 

No one mentioned "classic" for one and secondly NKY as a whole, is not and has never been, pitcher strong. Hopefully it will get there as the interest in the game is progressing. You don't have many teams with one, let alone two, strong pitchers in NKY. Also, both teams are young and not many on the rosters (NewCath 13 on varsity roster, including and 8th grader and St. Henry 14 varsity/jv combined) and several players learning new positions.

I agree with Lawnboy... Definitely a great night for the true softball fan Tonight was a good night for the 9th Region. Joanna Rebitski is definitely a Freshman player to watch. I am proud to have coached her in the past. GO LADY CRU

Surprised Butts gave up 8 earned runs with those 6 errors. I only made it till the 4th inning and even though St Henry did end up with 6 errors they did have a couple really nice plays before I left.

This was a typo on my part, Noelle only gave up 4 ER's. I must have been looking at the hits column on my sheet when I posted, cause I have her down for only 4 ER's. Thanks for pointing this out, don't want to pass along the wrong info.

That had to be one of the most fun games i have ever been apart of....if you know me at all, you know ive been around the block a few times. 2 groups of girls that never gave up and kept battling to the end. I am very proud of our girls and NCC has nothing to hang their heads about. Denny runs a wonderful program and their future is definitely bright.

 

Soooo....now we need all of the 9th Region's support for next weekend in Owensboro. First game 9am vs Danville. GO LADY CRU
