Highlands 5 Butler 2 (JV) (at Oldham County)

Highlands JV improves to 7-0 on the young season to sweep the 4 games in Oldham County. 8th grader Ethan Doty throws 6 strong innings scattering 4 hits and striking out 7 while walking none. FR Ricky Raisor gets the last 3 outs and the save on a triple play in the bottom of the 7th. After allowing the 1st two runners to reach, a line out on a hit and run lead to a Heck to Bunning to Orne triple play.

 

JV Birds off until Saturday when they play a DH vs. Lloyd and Ryle.

Congrats Birds on turning a triple play but doesn't sound like a very smart baseball play on the part of Butler.

I heard that Kenny Ball and Todd Ramey were selected for "All tournament team"? Not sure what all that entails but it sounds like they were recognized by the tournament director after the game. Good stuff...!!!
