I get that. I have some cars that have liability only.

 

For this thread though we're talking new cars.

 

Oh I thought some of the conversation was wrapped around how long people kept the cars too. That's where insurance and taxes start playing a role. Yes, new only, not relevant.

Flip side I was told by a person that unless you can write off depreciation, never buy something that declines rapidly in value. That advice would suggest leasing.

I have heard that for years and years. Depreciation is what kills people who want to trade in 3 years.
