This game will be within 10 as usual when these two teams meet. I look for HC to finally get to the region this year.

 

Campbell must dominate in the paint and HC must play better defense than they did in the first meeting.

Cov Cath wins if Frederick plays. If he doesn't play Holy Cross FINALLY makes it to the region.

 

I think HC wins whether Frederick plays or not. They'll just have an easier time of it if he doesn't. Not having to spend any defensive energy on him would make a big difference.

 

Bottom line for the Indians is that they are a very good team when they can make opponents pay for giving so much defensive attention to Campbell. Gabbard has really stepped his game up in a huge way the last couple weeks and Pouncy has been providing increased offensive production. When those two guys are hitting shots, which they have been doing lately, it makes them a really tough team to defend when you've got the big guy in the middle.

 

Big Mo is on the Indians side ride now and I see them winning a fairly low scoring game to advance to the district championship against Holmes later this week.

If Gabbard is hitting 3s it's a huge problem for CCH. He didn't hit many if I remember correctly in the first game.

HC shot very poorly from outside in the first game. But for some reason they kept shooting them. Campbell has to make his presence known on the block for HC to win. If HC settles from outside and isn't hitting then CCH will advance. But if HC uses their advantages correctly it's their game to lose, IMO.

An earlier post said HC has not been to the Region since 2004. OMG, that is unbelievable. If HC doesnt do it this year they wont for a long long time. I have seen their underclassmen play and they have nothing coming up. Someone needs to get on a bus and head to Ohio to recruit some more kids.
