How about Cooper's SS, Willett? I understand she is going to Transy but to be honest, I have never seen her play.

 

Willett also goes on this list!

Completely forgot about Willett. My apologies. I would include her in with the top SS in the 9th region. The two girls mentioned from Highlands and NewCath are both young but very good. They are up and coming players to keep your eyes on.

 

As did I. Lauren Willett's number from last season:

 

.492 avg, .536 OB%, 7-2B, 1-3B, 17RBI, 23R, 31H. Not bad numbers at all, and a glove to boot.

Louisville Male....she's doing really well....she's lovin' having Josh as her coach now....right up her travel ball alley!! Hell, she might even get to pitch this season!!

Doom 96 might be taking over this board!

Allie Anstead of Brossart will begin her third year and still a junior at Short for Brossart this year. Batted over .400 and has developed into a soild all around player and should have a great offensive player. In her two years at short as a starter team has won 52 games and two District Championships.

...and the way things played out as far as Josh becoming Male's coach was SO unexpected and fortuitous, all I can do as a Dad is sit back, shake my head and enjoy it.

Agree. Moran, Knotts and Smith would be my top three in the 9th. Although how much SS will Knotts and Smith be playing this year. I would assume that both will be pitching the majority of games this year for their respective teams.

 

Word on the street has Knotts pitching innings will increase this year due to injury's of other girls.
