I recently got a chance to talk to a pharmacist or two that were helping operate several long term care facilities like nursing homes, etc. and from what he told me, nurses and nursing homes in KY need a lot of help as he thinks there just isn't enough support for them in those areas. I only had a limited amount of time to talk to him as it was a day where all 3rd year pharmacy students got talk to a variety of pharmacists and residents about their jobs so I wasn't able to get him to elaborate.
