Nice win for the Purps. Next week's showdown between Warren Central/Bowling Green will probably be the best first found game in the state.

Bowling Green won the OT period 15-5. I believe Warren Central and Bowling Green were the only two teams to beat Henderson County at Henderson. It is a real shame one of those two will be done in a week but it is what it is.

I completely agree. The same thing in the 14th region, Perry Central drew Hazard. Those teams are arguably 2 of the best 3 teams in that region. Only one of them will make to region, I guess that why it makes it so exciting when this time of year rolls around.

Doesn't Fant play football for BG? Any chance they are just now starting to round into top form after playing into December on the gridiron?

 

In the second region, do a couple late losses for Henderson Co show that they won't be able to hang with Hopkinsville? I'm under the impression that they are the only threat to the Tigers return to Rupp.

It's Mid-February; they should've been in basketball form at least a month ago.

BG began rounding into form towards the beginning of January. They've lost three games since January 2nd, which were twice to Warren Central and once to Hoptown. So zero bad losses in the very few they've had. And they've rained fire on most of the teams they've beaten in that stretch. The Henderson win is undoubtedly their best win of the year to date.
