Anyone agree/disagree?

Having only seen PCC and KCC, I'm curious about the gap between those two and the rest of the region.

Based on their results last year and who they had back, I expected Breathitt Co to be right there with the top teams. Any chance they can compete for a region title or have they shown themselves to be too far behind?

It's gonna be tough for the Bobcats to compete for a regional title this year, they play all starters from start to finish without any break, actually the only break they get is in between quarters unless they are blowing some team out like Jackson City, Jenkins or some small school then their coach might substitute a player in other than that the starters play the entire game and Breathitt not having Frayley is hurting them bad this year, if he would have played they would have been a serious contender but they don't and I don't think they are.

Was just told that Hazard has both Thompson and Hollan back. Thompson has a brace on his wrist that's injured but he's been playing. Both of these players coming back for the Dawgs, helps them tremendously

Breathitt is not on the same level with Perry Central or Knott Central. And now that Hollan is back from his injury, I doubt they can handle Hazard as well. I agree with All State Baseball, I think they have really missed Fraley this year.

I figure to see Braxton Beverly this week's MVP. I thought his performance against PCC was very impressive. Everything is pretty solid, rankings look great. IMO.

I didn't have any stats from him. Coach Spurlock hasn't updated his stats for the Knott Central game and the line scores wasn't called into kentucky.com

He finish with 29pts I believe.

When Beverly has his game clicking he makes everyone around him better. PCC will be nearly unstoppable in the region if he has his A game going, because the bigs for the Commodores are going to get their points. Add Stacey from behind the arc and Perry is too much. I think they are the strongest team to represent the 14th at Rupp.

I don't understand Cantrall's ratings. Of the 56th district teams he has Powell as the highest rated team (above Estill, Lee, and Owsley who all tied for the best record in district at 4-2), even though Powell is winless in the district at 0-6. Makes no sense. Of course, there's not much difference in the 4 district teams because all the games have been very close, but still, anyway you slice it Powell is still winless. How Cantrall could have them rated top team in the district is beyond me.

Good point. That truly doesn't make much sense but honestly I wouldn't be surprise to see Powell Co come out as district champs. However, doing rankings win/loss is a big part and since PC is winnless no way should they be ranked one in that district. I don't put a lot stock in cantrall's rankings anways, never have.
