mcraycraft Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Sidenote: Xavier Persawl was perfect at Bath County. During the JV game he was 9/9 fgs and 6/6 fts. The varsity contest he was 3/3 fgs.
HICKORY Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 final from Owingsville. How will Montgomery County fare in a one or two possession game? They haven't seemed to have many, if any, of those this year.

babyjack1 Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I'll tell Happy to make sure the boys keep this one close tonight so we all can see how they do in a close game. I mean really??
HICKORY Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I'll tell Happy to make sure the boys keep this one close tonight so we all can see how they do in a close game. I mean really?? My point was that they have not played a close game yet. It wasn't a knock on anyone. They have had a great year but if anyone thinks any team will get to Rupp without having to play at least one game that is a one or two possession game then they are delusional.

It will happen.
mcraycraft Posted February 8, 2013 Author Posted February 8, 2013 Dixie Heights was leading Montgomery 33-29 at halftime, Montgomery had gotten a 2 point lead after 3 and then went 26-13 in the 4th. Collins was leading 42-37 after 3 quarters, then Montgomery County outscored Collins 22-5 in the 4th. Montgomery was leading Mason 43-41 after 3 and then outscored Mason 21-11 in the 4th. Montgomery was leading Scott High 45-41 after 3, then outscored Scott 21-10 in the 4th. Montgomery County was leading Augusta 43-35 at halftime and them outscored them 52-30 in the second half.
dinnerforrwo Posted February 8, 2013 Posted February 8, 2013 I would think that with Montgomery's guard play and having one of the best players in the state, that they could handle a possesion type game.
