We were lucky to make it through the 70s and 80s when a lot of other Catholic universities cut their football program entirely. There are a lot of us that would like to see us move back into scholarship football; I just don't know where the money would come from.

So, does Dayton not provide athletic scholarships to any football players?

The University of Dayton is Division 1 non-scholarship football. I believe they compete in the pioneer league, which also includes Butler, Valpo, San Diego, and Morehead State. They have pretty strong academic requirements, which beyond football makes it a great fit for David.
