Gallatin County 72 Trimble County 46

The margin of victory surprises me. Nice win for Gallatin.

Congrats to the Lady Wildcats.

After two pretty close games, I expected more. Didn't happen. What really surprised me was the ability for Gallatin to go uncontested in the lane time and again.

That's been happening quite a bit lately, even in Frankfort. Teams have to guard the perimeter so tightly, and the 3 players that can shoot it can also beat you off the dribble...

Should not be a surprise, Trimble has never guarded Gallatin off the dribble very well. If Trimble plays zone, there is a good chance that Gallatin would play H.O.R.S.E..

Well after two good games this year, I expected a better game than I saw.

Didnt see this one but saw GC in region final and the state. No shame in having trouble guarding them. Their spacing, shooting and pick and rolls with the 2 Dossetts is devastating. If you switch they expose mis matches, if you dont they attack and if you hedge they burn you on the roller. Lastly if you sag they bomb 3s. At least thats what I saw and the other 3 can hit open shots and attack the goal with quickness.

So as Mack said alot of teams will have this issue.

Did you feel that TC lacked effort? Lack off execution of gameplan? I think that Coach Stewarts teams play plenty hard and generally seem well prepared.

I feel they didn't hit shots. I felt like effort was there from the start. They should've been prepared since it was their third meeting. Second Q killed Trimble. So as the opposing coach, what do you think Trimble needs to do better?

Getting better not the issue, you can only do what you can do. Gallatin has had better talent for a couple of years now. Trimble has had a GREAT season, better than some expected, although I am not surprised. Many thought that graduating 6-7 SR's would spell doom for them, but I knew better, it's called addtion by subtraction. Trimble will be good next season also, although losing Griffith will Hurt. The Consley girl will be a year older, stronger, and wiser as will Shelbe Black, which will make it hard to keep Trimble off of the glass.

Hopefully the JV game is telling of things to come. Then again, Gallatin was missing some players and beat Trimble earlier in the year. Trimble's young talent needs to develop. They have potential, just need to make the most of it. Hope that can happen. 32 and 52 are 8th graders and 35 is a frosh. Coach is expecting big things from these three as time goes on.

And we were typing about the same people at the same time.

Clifford is playing like a veteran. She comes out with no fear. Bowen has that for you guys. She never played like she was a rookie...even when she was.

Trimble has a nice core group of young players.
