Covington Holy Cross 63 Highlands 55

Featured Replies

At one point it was Birds 13 fouls and HC 4 late in the 3rd. This was in the GAME !!!

Birds just couldnt get any calls and HC got some weak ones. I dont think putting them on the line hurt us. I think them hitting 3 pointers won the game.

Birds had to foul midway through 4th as they were down 8. When Baseballnut looked up it was Campbell's 2nd fould of the game at the 1:45 mark and that is when the fouls were more even due to Highlands fouling. I gave them a standing ovation for finally calling him for a foul.

Normally those refs are not that bad, I am not going to name them but one of them (bald guy) did not call ONE foul on HC all night.

Campbell most of the night did a good job of using his body and blocking shots without fouling to be quite honest.

I honestly think we only shot 5 FT's the entire game. I will get the stats. Well, we only made 2 FT's and Holy Cross made 10. There is your score difference. I think we were 2/5 from the line. Jake Gronotte converted a 3 pt play in the 1st qtr for one and then Nick True missed 2 later in the game. Karl Hinkel made 1/2.

How do you only get 5 FT attempts in a frenetic game like it was last night? A lot of pressing, fast paced, etc.

HC was 10/20 from FT line.

Birds were 2/5.

15 more opportunities to score 8 more points.

Congrats to I HCHSthumb:d

How did Holy Cross hit so many 3's? Did Highlands sit in a zone to pack it in on Campbell?
