I think Seibert is a good little player but Im not sure who she is gonna start in front of? No disrespect towards her.

 

That is true, not Nicole....she is a beast at her postion.....Not Mayes....she left Holmes to come to NCC to play so to not start a recruit would be wrong....Lewis has a nice shot....guards are set as they have been groomed for positon since grade school.....She will be a awesome 6th man but needs to see minutes to help the team. She hustle and will not hold back for the team. She is a good team player....hope to get to catch a game soon but been watching the Southern end of the county lately. She will step up when asked and has from what little I was able to see this year.

Starter? Not sure if she should start or not, but I only see four clear cut starters. IMO the fifth starting spot could go to Seibert, Davenport, or Zimmerman. I would say Seibert has as good as chance as anyone to start. All three girls have their strenghts. I believe they should all be in the rotation. They should be used not only for the fifth starting spot, but also to give the other four players some much need breaks during games. Coach Stowers at SK flat wears teams out by playing 8-9 players. If NCC doesn't want to play her then bring her to SK. I'm certain Coach Stowers would love to have her speed and skills. I was told Seibert is not getting hardly any minutes in a lot of games. If that's the case then there must be more to the story. If you think Seibert should not be getting some quality minutes then your fooling yourself. I know their coach is young and it's his first year. hopefully he will figure it out by the end of the year. I would love to see NCC make a deep run in the 9th this year. Good Luck!

Are you alleging NCC is recruiting? I'm sure she went to NCC to get a "quality education" not for the "opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities."

That would be accurate.....her AAU coach, Lady Diamonds was the NCC Freshman coach and according to her mother at a tournament she was going there to play for him. That came from her family. She has an opportunity to get an education at NCC but please don't forget Holmes has the International Bac. Program there and students come from many districts to attend that program so the option was at Holmes for a quality education. Holmes has put together a nice team this year and not sure how she would have fit.

Every player and student has a story. My daughter played with her so I have insight. Don't want personal facts called out but if parent shares them at tournaments that is how they get public. Seems she has settled in this year and playing well. Back to basketball. No one went down a path, stating a player transferred from Holmes is a fact at the encouragement of coach. Players do it all the time. Point is NCC coach needs to utilize bench and fresh legs.....wasn't that where this started?

Hope to catch another NCC game in the next couple of weeks. I would have considered her mom a reliable source about High School choice but you obviously know more so consider path closed.
