Mack the Knife texted me the final. Gallatin County was up 1, but Owen County scores the final 6 points to take the 5 point win. The Rebels will play Eminence in the first semifinal game on Friday night.

Is this the 4th time they've played?

Third time, but second in 5 days.

Is Gallatin Co on a skid. How have they fared the past few games?

Not on a skid. Since losing to Collins and at Simon Kenton to start the season, they had won 11 of 13, further validating the genius of Coach Jones...

Congrats to Owen on a nice win. Does anyone have any stats?

Owen down 5 at the half. Came out of the locker room with a good game plan, kept their cool and tied it up by the end of the third. I believe that last year Owen and Gallatin played in the first round with Owen winning in overtime. Congrats to Coach Duvall and company.

Per KHSAA the first time they met Owen won 55-27, the second time Gallatin came out on top 53-64. Oddly both teams lost on their home court.

Congrats to Owen. This game could have gone either way.

If I'm not mistaken their first round game at Walton-Verona in 2010 went OT with Gallatin winning that one. You usually get your money's worth when these two play.
