Garrard County is now 3-12(0-1)

Tough, physical game, as all Garrard/Boyle games are. Boyle led by 1 at the half, six after three, and pushed it to ten early in the fourth quarter before Garrard came back to take a one point lead. Tied 52-52 late, Boyle scored, held Garrard on defense, and converted four foul shots to finish the job.

 

Boyle was led in scoring by Brett Jones with 21. Hagan Tyler had 11 and Josiah Robbins had 10.

 

Garrard was led by Billy Abney with 12, Austin Sebastian with 11, and Nick McCollum with 9. Garrard played three freshman (McCollum, Slade Crutchfield, and Jaylan McPherson) almost exclusively in the fourth quarter when they were making their comeback. It was nice to see the young kids play well.

It's good to see Brett Jones assume the role of leader of this team at the point position. He's definitely been doing a fine job leading the team and watching him play tonight was refreshing. Keep it up, Brett!!!!
