November 25, 201213 yr This was a garbage pile and almost everyone involved can boast in a share of the credit. The defense played well but UConn can boast, at best, an offense comprised entirely of rubbish. So there's that. The offensive line had a Kragthorpian performance, failing to block UConn's pass rush all day and it resulted in not one but two injuries to Bridgewater. The receiving corps had a nasty case of stone hands and dropped everything that came anywhere near them for large chunks of the first half. Shawn Watson called a terrible game. Too many awful play calls, especially on first down. And in the end it comes down to Coach Strong, who didn't seem to have his guys ready to play. Nearly everything that could possibly have gone wrong... did. *************** I could get mad that there weren't more fans in the stands at the close but, as WDRB's Eric Crawford rightfully pointed out on today, actual fans in the stands tends to be somewhere between 45,000 and 48,000, as opposed to the 35,000 to 38,000 it was 10 years ago. We take progress where we can...
November 25, 201213 yr It means that Louisville is got some true fans and will build on this if they keep up what they are doing. If Strong stays I think you will see Louisville talked about with high regards every season. They also have to get into another conference.
November 27, 201213 yr UL should have beaten UConn, but if you look at UL's body of work their only real win was beating UC in OT. This is a team that very easily could be 6-5. I think the gaudy record tended to inflate their actual ability. They squeaked out wins against UNC, FIU, USF and Southern Miss and got crushed by Syracuse. To their credit, they won those games with the exception of Syracuse, but in general I think they are not as good as their record indicates.

But...as a Cardinal fan...The future is BRIGHT!
November 27, 201213 yr Watched between breaks of Kentucky game. From what I saw, this didn't look like the same Louisville team I have seen all year.
November 27, 201213 yr Perhaps Charlie should have spent more time focusing on their opponent this week and less time on the drunk on the team that Charlie brought on board this team, oh it dont matter, Charlie wont be here after this year anyway.
