Just curious did the frosh Smith have trouble Friday night? Heard he couldn't keep his footing, wasn't gaining many yards? Wonder if this was due to inexperience/nerves. Was out of town couldn't catch the game. Seems like Hayes/Cain and the rest of the Breds played well.

Footing was an issue, however Somerset's "D" was beating him to the outside and containing him all night long. Don't think inexperience or nerves had anything to do with it, plan and simple they were up against a damn good team. He has 3 more years to show he is going to be one of the best in Breds history. Also they were avoiding kicking the ball to him and Dylan on punts and kickoffs.

I just question a frosh being mentally and physically ready for a game of this magnitude. Imo I wouldn't think so.

Maybe not to carry it 10 plus times, but Eddie uses him well. He puts him in position to make plays, not set the tone.

I would agree. It will be a good game this Sat. Good luck to the Breds.
