Bullitt East 2012/2013

Featured Replies

Basketball season for 2012/2013 should provide another exciting year. What should we expect from Bullitt East ? Remember, please be constructive.

No surprises here. Superbly talented seniors Derek Willis, Rusty Troutman, and Trey Rakes (not to mention the return of 6'6 Senior Elliott Young from a leg injury) make the two-time defending 6th Region champions the favorite in 2012-13. Bullitt East also has plenty of depth in the junior and sophomore classes to compliment the talented seniors. Bullitt East has had some preseason injury issues with Willis and Rakes, but they should be 100% by the opening week.

Can you explain the injuries? Thanks

State heavyweight.

If BE will commit to tougher defense this year, they can beat anybody in the state, including Ballard, Trinity, PRP and Madison Central.

They need to play stronger defense and more physical to beat those kinds of teams.

BE has great offense, to include skilled players and good X's and O's. However, the elite teams in the state can slow down the BE offense. Can BE slow those teams down???

Not sure of the specifics but I know Rakes and Willis missed a couple of weeks of conditioning/practice.

Both had ankle injuries but both have returned already.

Bullitt East is much deeper this year. Hunter Noffsinger and Tyler Sharpe are two good young players for them. Ezra and Rhett Troutman are also two quality juniors
