FOX blames mainstream media for Romney's loss!

Featured Replies

Once again the loss for the GOP is nobody's fault. It's simply that at this point in time the country is just much different than it used to be but to claim that the mainstream media isn't biased is disingenuous.

You got that right — look at all these hopelessly biased mainstream media outlets:

Orlando Sentinel

Daily Oklahoman

Cincinnati Enquirer

NY Post

Washington Times

San Diego Union-Tribune

Indianapolis Star

Jim, you know good and well we are talking about the major media outlets. NBC, ABC, and CBS. The burying of the Libya interview by CBS is enough proof.

How many papers in this country Jim? What was the last election, 88% voted democrat? But of course that doesn't affect their (so called) reporting. I will give them that I don't think it's intentional. They just can't help themselves.

Not agreeing with Fox (which BTW I never heard solely blame the "mainstream media"), but can anyone really say with a straight face that the majority of the media, especially the major networks; don't give favorable coverage to the left, and Obama in particular?? ABC's supposed unbiased spokesman is Stephanopolis (a Clintonite)--Come on people, call it like it is.

Romney lost because he went into the "prevent defense" after Debate #1 when he had the momentum, and the Rep's ignorance of the changing demographics of the electorate; along with the overall lack of political intelligence of the electorate.

Tens of millions of readers in my example, and that doesn't really touch the number of conservative-leaning newspapers in this country. Especially small-town weeklies and semi-weeklies, which also tend to lean right to large degree. My list is by no means exhaustive when it comes to major metro papers, as well. And ABC, NBC and CBS have been getting killed for years by Fox and CNN, so their influence has been diminished greatly in the past couple decades.

Do most large media outlets trend liberal? Yes, of course. But stop acting like conservative viewpoints have been silenced, because that's garbage. There are a ton of conservative media outlets out there, and that voice is being heard quite clearly. And since left-wing radio is basically non-existent while right-wing radio thrives, the insidious "MSM" influence conservatives continue to cry about is more balanced than it perhaps has ever been in this country.

I can't speak for all reporters, only myself. I've gone out of my way to separate my opinions from the stories I cover (then again, I don't cover much news these days). There are plenty who operate with an agenda on both sides, and that's sad. But as I note above, the crying you guys do is very disingenuous when you look at the total picture.

That's why they put conservative scion George Will -- who, incidentally, is a staffer for the hopelessly liberal Washington Post -- on there with him. Will, incidentally, is arguably the most influential conservative journalist in the US, and his columns appear in newspapers all across the country, liberal or otherwise. Feel free to continue to ignore that fact since it suits your argument, though.
