With 2 minutes left, Hazard was driving to about the LCA 15. After 3 downs they turned it over to LCA, who promptly fumbled it back on the next play.

 

LCA held for 4 downs, & knelt down for the final 30 seconds. A VERY close game.

I didnt.. Good game by both teams. Way to represent the Mountains well Hazard down in Lexington.

Lexington Christian Academy linebackers Dylan Lancaster and Sam Maybriar combined for 17 tackles, including eight for losses, and made clutch plays in the closing minutes to help LCA hold on for a 27-20 victory over the defending Class A champions.

Lancaster, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound junior, sacked Hazard quarterback Evan Whitaker and forced him into an intentional grounding penalty in the closing seconds with the Bulldogs on the LCA 7-yard line.

Then on fourth-and-14 at the 17, Whitaker threw an incomplete pass to the end zone with 12 seconds left.

“We were very motivated for this game,” Lancaster said. “We knew what was coming and what we had to do.

 

“This was a great win for us,” Graham said. “Hazard beat us 43-7 last year. Now we’ve beating Corbin and Hazard this year with 28 guys dressing.

“It’s an amazing thing.”
