John Hardin 34 Boyle County 14

Featured Replies

Final.

Boyle falls to 1-3. John Hardin is now 4-0.

The Dawgs played well the first half, but went on cruise control the 2nd half. Seniors Wade Holtsclaw and Dorian Collins had big games for us each scoring twice. The defense caused several turnovers returning a interception for a score. We move to 4-0 heading into our bye week.

I was told starting qb Casey Whittle is fine. The change at qb may be permanent but not yet known.

Intriguing.

Good to know he's not injured. That was a pretty quick change at QB, however, No. 15 did a good job running the ball. The passing game needs work, but turnovers are killing Boyle. I counted at least 4 with two more INTs dropped.

Congrats to the Dawgs and good luck to Boyle the rest of the way.

Good luck to you guys also.

I think we are at a stretch in the schedule where we can safely evaluate both quarterbacks and make the best decision for the team going forward before we get to LexCath. It is definitely an interesting move.

Is this a rebuilding year for Boyle? Do they have a young team Purple Pride? That cannon you guys had scared the crap out of me. Lol. I sure wasn't ready for that. Someone told me you could hear that thing go off in Harrodsburg. Good luck in district and the playoffs.

We actually have a senior dominated team. I felt like this year we could be as good as we were last year, maybe a little better, maybe a little worse. Our problem this year is 1.) turnovers and 2.) depth. We simply aren't as deep as we are used to being. Even last year we weren't as deep as we like to be. This year it seems we have even less depth. I believe we have at least 7 guys playing both ways and 3 are offensive linemen. I'm not used to seeing our offensive linemen playing both ways. That's asking a lot for a 4A team and that is the situation we are in right now. I do still think we'll be fine and I do think we should win the rest of our games with the exception of maybe LexCath. The Mercer game will also be a tough one as they look to be much improved and getting better every week. I'm sure Coach Pardue has that one circled on his calendar.

We actually don't have a cannon. Just some top notch fireworks. The neighborhood across the street from the school is in the Danville school district and they hate Boyle County for a lot of reasons and I guarantee our fireworks are near the top of the list. We've been attending games for years and my wife still jumps in fear during the National Anthem 'when the rockets red glare'

Looks like we have us a good old fashioned quarterback controversy.

Does JH play either Highlands or Bowling Green in the regular season this year?

No, I wish we had a game like that toward the end of the season to help prepare us for the playoffs. Our toughest competition left on the regular season schedule is jeffersontown and Boone County. If we make it to the state semi finals again this year we likely will play Bowling Green or Warren Central. The game would be hosted by us this year.
