Coach Biggs has got to be the best young coach in the 10th, but he has had good troops to go along with his coaching. Next year will be a test. I guess one coach that I am not sure many notice is Hammonds at Bracken. He was a Reitz assistant at Clark, and has done well improving the polar bears. I think he is an up and coming star.

Coach Hammonds does a great job over in Brooksville. He is one of the better young coaches in the Northern KY area.

He sure is. I know we like the way he coaches over here at BC. What he has done over the past 3 years with the talent BC has, is a outstanding job. He surely has far many better days ahead of him as a 10th region coach. Wherever that might be.

In response to Sports Mojo Phillip Wood had 285 wins and 11 district titles and two regional titles in I believe 16 seasons as Pendleton County's Head Coach. Biggs has 84 wins and two district titles, and one Regional title and is currently about 1/2 through his 5th season. Biggs is second in winning percentage in school history with a record of 84-49 for 63%. No one is likely to catch the first place person in that category Mr. Richard Julick who coached one year at what is now Pendleton County High School after the merger and went 31-6 for 83%.

One of the best measures of a coach is getting the most out of the talent he has - Rison does it every year.

agree with you on Rison but name me a team that has lost their 3 leading scorers, top 2 rebounders and 3 out of top 4 in assists and is ranked higher now than they were last year. Pendleton has done that. Granted the season has a long way to go,but the coaching staff there is doing something right. Schedule maybe tougher than last year as well. Rison and Reitz deserve to be on there for their longevity and success. Biggs is only in 5th year. Hard to compare with guys who have been doing it 25 as a Head Coach.

Rison only has one kid back out of his top 8-9, yet somehow has won 11 games this year. Granted he hasn't played a Pendleton Co. schedule though. The true grade for Coach Biggs will come next season when he loses almost everything, barring he doesn't leave for another school.

That is where I disagree. The previous posters said Biggs loses 80% of his starters next year. We'll he lost 60% from last year, and has played a horrific schedule and is 10-2. That is not a real test? Sure he loses 6 more great seniors this year, but he has proven himself so far this year as well. As you stated before scheduling sometimes helps. Maybe he will schedule softer next year?

Also what about Kelly Wells. He is no longer coaching in the region, but is still coaching. He had a great run in the region. 53 in a row against 10th region teams. Pendleton's 21 in a row pales in comparison. Three straight titles and a state title.

It will have to be real soft to have a good record next year with all they lose this year.I think Biggs will pull out of PC if something comes up for him elsewhere.
