Confused....How does Hazzard recieve (5) votes and Mayfield get (3) but they are placed on top the standings.....

The 5 and 3 are probably the first place votes received. The 3 who voted Mayfield 1st probably voted Hazard 3rd, 4th or lower and my guess is the 5 who voted Hazard voted Mayfield 2, so that causes Hazard to have fewer overall points. I am glad to see Hazard got more first place votes. I think Hazard should be #1 till they prove different in games. Not just because they are the defending champs but because from what I have heard they have a good team returning that is capable of defending.

 

Beyond that, it is hard to argue with anything else in a preseason poll.

Not a bad first poll. I'd say it's pretty darn close.

I say let Hazard run with the tag of #1 in 1A for the year. Mayfield has a good shot of losing the 1st game anyway. Mayfield had the "pleasure" of being the hunted last year, let Hazard have it.
