I think those last 4 hits all occurred with 2 strike count; just one strike from going home for the season.

Instead they go to STATE! Some cool headed players for Ryle . . .

 

Congratulations, Ryle! Guess we'll see these two teams again next year in the ANNUAL Ryle/Conner Championship.

Game reminds me of a great song by The Cars..........Heartbreak City. Tough loss for the Lady Cougars. Congrats to Ryle.

 

The contrasting emotions from each dugout was simply over the top. During play the tension was out of control, even I who had not a real favorite felt the nervous tension in my chest.

 

Perhaps this is exactly why I enjoy High School sports so much. These teams wanted it so very, very much that it actually hurt to watch.
