I don't think we can say socialists are not true Americans. They just have a different belief about how the economy should work as compared to most of us. I do not doubt their patriotism or their love of the country. Heck, the guy that wrote the Pledge of Allegiance was a socialist.

I would say it is a fair question. The "pure" socialism the DSA promotes would promote confiscating personal savings and all being dependent on the State.
