While you might be trying to make a valid point, your stance that just because he is from KY he would be less of a prospect in the power states is so far off base I don't know where to begin.

 

I'm not being extremely biased about anything. Quick is simply the complete package at WR, and is one of the high level, elite WRs in the country. ESPN, Scout and 247 have him properly graded, and at the moment Rivals does not. When the other 3 have him Top 10 at WR and as high as 3, that should tell you something...

Here's my take on it - if James Quick was a WR at Manatee H.S. in Florida or Katy, Tx., he would be considered a top 50 prospect nationally by every service out there. He lives in Kentucky so he's top 250.

Just the way it is and always has been. If I remember correctly, Michael Bush was perhaps the highest ranked prospect the state has ever produces according to the services (maybe Couch?) and he was No. 28 or 29 by Rivals. They only moved him into the top 50 when he had that monster game in the finals against Trinity. Before then he was outside the top 50 and he's had a pretty good NFL career.

Top 250 is great. He deserves better but doesn't seem like a kid that will worry much about it.
