Scott 61 NCC 60

Featured Replies

Kiernan sat all of the second quarter because he picked up two fouls. NCC did a horrible job getting him the basketball. In my opinion Kiernan is a much better player than Howard. He has only been in the gym for a total of 7 practices. By the end of January he will be a much better player.

That could very possibly end up being true, but he wasn't last night and that is all that matters.

I misread. Thought he said he would be a better than Howard. My mistake. Yes he will be a better player come the end of January. Thats what i was laughing about. Howard is the better big man in this match-up and last nights game proves that.

Do you think Scott is better this year or last year?

There is no question they are better this year. They already have the same number of wins this year as they ended with last year. Also playing with J-town for the whole game also indicates a better team.

And has already matched the win total from last year.

Not even close. Scotts players are continuing to learn a new system. When is the last time you saw a Scott team play defense like they do. They also play as hard as any team I've seen.

Howard had 17 and 11. Another double double. The kid really works hard.

Everyone fails to mention that the starting point guard went to the hospital for a concussion from the "uptempo?" game. The game was unbelievably uncontrolled from the beginning. Scott's uptempo game is to MUG and try to hurt players. Kevin Bueter wasn't the only injury in the game. Phil Horan went out with a turned ankle. Officiating was terrible for both sides. It wasn't a basketball game- it was a free for all.

Give me a break. Scott does not try to to MUG and hurt players as you have suggested they do. They do pressure and trap the other teams players a lot, but Carr or his coaching staff doesn't instill a defense to hurt anyone. Players getting hurt is unfortunate, but it is part of the game. I hope both players are okay.

I will agree with you that the officials were horrible for both sides.

The game became a street ball game to say the least! Bueter went out at halftime to go to the hospital when NCC was ahead considerably. Instilling a trap defense is fine but if players need to get a rape check at the end of the game I would say that the game is out of control. If Scott ever gets a set of refs that keep control of the game, foul trouble will be a phenomenal problem for them. To only be ahead with 13 points going into the fourth quarter with both point guards not in the game, no wonder Scott was able to pull it out. But on the other hand, NCC has to make foul shots and persevere through rough spots.

Scott had to foul at the end of the game to stop the clock to have a chance to win the game. Phil Horan did play in the fourth quarter. You don't know that they win the game if Bueter doesn't get hurt. Bueter is good but he isn't an all regional player.

Agreed NCC was just as pyschial just not as aggresive. They just didn't want it as bad. But to say that Scott goes out to hurt people is bush league. Ask any team around this area and asked them if Scott plays dirty. Come up for a better reason for why NCC choked in the second half then try to argue that point.

sorry but i love the Eagles aggresiveness. There is no way they would have 9 wins on the board if it wasnt for Carrs pressure. It shows how much talent the Eagles has on their team coming back from 14 in the 4th. That is not luck, you cant teach that. Those kids have the heart and proved to not only me but all there opponents they will compete with anyone. I learned that Sharp is a good person to give the ball too in clutch. He brought them back in the SK game too but didnt show w/ a W. But he needs to know when the shoot and give the ball to Howard
