Dixie at Campbell County

Featured Replies

Thoughts or predictions. Campbell County is playing well. Can they pull off the upset?

The way the Camels are playing, not sure it would be an upset, especially looking at Dixiies last game with Ludlow

This game has been canceled. Not sure why though.

Sounds like somebody might be taking a page out of the Bellevue coach's handbook. :idunno:

Such a beautiful day, that's a shame. Is it on the Camels side or Dixies side that the game is cancelled?

No idea. My sentiments exactly. What a great day and with CCHS on spring break next week with no games they are going almost 2 weeks without a game. I can't imagine CCHS cancelling it.

That stinks! I was going to stop down and watch a couple innings.

Or maybe Dixie rescheduled their father/daughter dance.

Yes it took Dixie Heights 11 innings to beat Ludlow. But I guess we wont know now. It's an NKAC game so it has to be made up. The bad thing about spring sports is they don't sign contracts because of the weather. Then anyone can cancel on you with no good reason. In most sports we have contracts with forfeit fees. If both teams don't agree then they have to pay a stiff penalty. In football and basketball that could be $2500 or higher.

Interesting. I wasn't aware of that. Thanks for the info. I think they should enforce a fee for softball and baseball too unless the cancellation is weather related. Games being cancelled like this can really be frustrating.

THAT IS STUPID, no better time to get games in. :ohbrother:

Couldn't agree more. Why do so many teams not play during spring break? :idunno:

No idea about the games during spring break but someone told me Dixie would have played 4 straight days if they had played today which is not allowed? Is that correct?

I think we are then off forever. There are all these tournies this weekend. Why didn't we get in that one at Kenton lakes or the one Dixie is in? 80% chance of rain or something tomorrow. That figures. My hubby and I took off early to be there today too. :taz:
