March 25, 201214 yr Well, to be honest, I'm glad I grew up with the paddling. It did get my attention. If I had grown up in the mamby-pamby style discipline of today, I wouldn't have turned out the way I have. My point has nothing to do with the kids on the receiving end. It's all of the time spent post-paddling with the inevitable complaints/questions. It's simply not worth it.
