Bishop Brossart 13 Beechwood 3 (6 Innings)

Featured Replies

The way the game sounded against your team, it was Brossart's worst day, so I wouldn't take anything from that game. Maybe like Simon Kenton beating Lloyd 2 to 1? Are you saying Simon is that bad, or Lloyd is that good? If you are going on one game, it sounds like you have a lack of softball knowledge also.:sssh:

I don't think Sk is that good. Brossart's only had 3 days so I have seen 33%.

As far as softball knowledge goes, I was part of a team this past summer that had 10 of 13 girls receive either full or almost full rides to division 1 schools. And I was one of the main contacts with the coaches. Maybe you can ask those girls who are going to go to school for free what my knowledge is.

BTW 1 more of the girls will go D1 another will go D2 and one has decided not to play any longer.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I have 1 more thing to say. You are comparing a girl that is in college now to a Freshman in High School. That is ridiculous if you ask me. I would like to congradulate the young pitcher on her wins and her home run. Keep them coming girl, you seem to be making alot of people nervous.

Sounds like you will be in the Hall of Fame some day!:dancingpa

Jealousy. They though the big horse Miller to Bellarmine and her sidekick Griffith to Mt. St. Joseph meant time to pick on the poor little school from Alexandria. NOT:clap: There was Barrow, then Vogelpool, then Diedesheimer, then Reilly, then Miller, then Shackelford and Reilly. Some day their will be Orth, and Schoultheis, and Seiter, and more. Bishop Brossart is not only young but has some truly outstanding 7th and 8th graders.

I am not the one who said they reloaded. Read the thread. When you say you have reloaded you are saying that your new person is comparable to your old person. There is not one normal person in NKY that thinks those 2 girls are similar.

Maybe you shouldn't have said the first thing and you wouldn't have to say 1 more thing.

No hall of fame for me but my kid will get to play at a D1 school for free, how many kids have you helped get to the next level for softball?

You don't replace people. You count on every player on the team to get better and your new parts to add something. In the end you want the sum of everything to be as good or greater than the whole from last year. What you are seeing from Brossart right now is sophomores who started as freshmen last year (Kremer, Anstead, Trumbo) kicking it up a huge notch from last year. Sophomores became more complete juniors (Kramer, Riedemann, Maria Greis, Emily Greis) Two seniors (Molly Williams and Taylor Hardy) a year older and wiser. Add Shackelford and Reilly to the mix as pitchers and Erica Riedeman doing a superb job behind the plate and that cures a lot of things. Miller and Griffith might have had 100 hits last year combined but all everyone has to do it step up 10 hits a piece and youve made it up. Defensively the decision to go with those freshmen last year as starters will pay off the next three years. You make up for more balls put in play by being a top notch defensive team which Brossart is.

So it sounds like you are saying you have not reloaded you are counting on kids that played last year. That comment is what started this thread in this direction.

Good luck I am sure you guys will be fine, I liked your catcher a lot.

I'm sorry but I have to say something about that comment. When a Freshman pitcher goes yard and starts the season 3 and 0 and also beating Bourbon Co. scrimmage or not, I would call that reloading! I usually think you have very good comments, but this one shows your lack of softball knowledge:puke:

Keep questioning my softball knowledge. Please do, i get such a kick out of it! You think I have no idea who you are but you are mistaken. Keep slipping up.

It is funny you say you have no "horse" in the battle. It is also funny how you only stand up for one player for BBHS and your "daughter" told you the Shack girl was being looked at by the trainer.

I still stand by comment about the putching sutuation.

Now that is funny! You just can't take it can you, that someone called you out on a mistake! I am not bashing her, all I am saying is you are taking a girl who has very little varsity pitching time and expecting her to fill Miller's shoes. She is not Alicia's caliber in my book. That is not a knock on her but some on here want to spin it that way.
