  1. I barely caught it, but in the press release didn't they say they were only releasing redacted video? Reason being was the ongoing legal proceedings? I'm indifferent when it comes to LMPD, they're a black eye for the city among many but I'm curious as to why. I hope it's not just for the hell of it and that they do have a definitive video. I'd hate to work there right now.
  2. My thoughts as well. Instead of a simple driving on suspended. The citations turned into driving on suspended, license to be in possession, failure to produce insurance card, failure to maintain insurance, expired registration plate, no registration receipt, no seat belt, and disregarding a stop sign. That's just my guess though and I've never been a fan of that stuff. I don't care if everyone of them is accurate, it's redundant and unnecessary.
  3. That's wild. Such a bad look for LMPD. I'm curious as to what type of detective duties this officer typically performs.
  4. Exactly, but they need those clicks, so they'll roll with the race/sexual preference angle for that alone.
  5. Agreed. I also sometimes wonder if these takes are really their own, or the ones other people are pushing.
  6. I read the article yesterday. I couldn't help but laugh at the end. A'JA Wilson was quoted saying it makes her blood boil when people say it's not about race. Acting as though Caitlin Clark wasn't a huge hit this past season in due to her breaking records, and leading her team to the title game. 🤦‍♂️
  7. The arraignment isn't moved too often, without it already being agreed upon by the prosecution and the defense, even then it's pretty rare. Now people may waive their preliminary hearing (not the same as arraignment) or ask for it to be continued to a later date for various reasons. I've definitely seen that done as a more common practice.
  8. Unless Jefferson County does things differently from the rest of the state (which wouldn't shock me), it was probably the Commonwealth Attorney that was involved in that hearing.
  9. I don't think anyone insinuated such a thing. But he's not intentionally performing bad at the combine. He's just doing what was expected when he announced he was entering the NBA draft.
  10. Sure isn't a lot of information available yet, but that's to be expected with Iran.
  11. Sadly, I think it's trending the other way. Many are leaving LMPD for better departments.
  12. Most of the officers I know, just want to make it through their shift and get home. No one goes to work wanting to be in the news.
  13. Not really, but that mentality is what criminals thrive on. I honestly think it was miscommunication followed by frustration, possibly on both sides.
