Barren County administration continues to think that their program is much more than the rest of the area sees them as. They have fired several quality coaches over the years that are really good coaches (Johnny Hines, William Howard, Jason Scott). Just curious as to what the administration is expecting with the talent pool they have.

Tennessee played their championship games at UT-Chattanooga. The stadium holds 20,000 people. We all seem to have different opinions on what the kids like. However, the kids I've heard from in previous years like hearing their fans cheer for them and you don't experience that in a stadium that seats 60,000 people opposed to one that seats 20,000. A stadium that looks and feels empty does not provide the same experience. I also think it makes it look bad for Kentucky football in general. When you watch the highlights on the news or social media and see a near empty stadium, it appears we do not care about football in this state. Despite all the faults in dealing with WKU, the lower levels were mostly full and sounded that way. And if it's about location, why isn't EKU considered? As other have discussed, clearing out the stadium after each game has always been a pet peeve of mine. The KHSAA could offer same day game packages/all game packages. The actual "game day experience" for fans or players does not exist. You show up, watch your team, then head home. I have no experience in PR or marketing so what do I know. But I am a high school football fan that has attended state championship games for over 20 years and the fun of going and watching the best teams in the state compete on the first weekend in December gets less appealing every year. I will still go, but I can see why people choose to just watch from the comfort of their home.

BG was without their kicker tonight. He had a soccer tournament. BG was without their starting RB (Javen Huddleston). The back up RB (Jaxen Smith) got banged up in the 4th and the 3rd string running back (Trey Graham) turned his ankle in practice this week. It was the right call.

Bowling Green at Owensboro Predictions/Updates

Leach is a great QB coach. But I think the biggest impact for the Purples offense the last two years has been Deuce Bailey. A kid like that can make many a coach look like an offensive genius. -

2023 South Warren Spartans

My understanding is that South Warren would’ve played Boyle County in the Rafferty’s Bowl this season. -
South Warren is playing North Hardin in the Forcht Bank Bowl @ Campbellsville High School. I heard they dropped out the day after Boyle County agreed to play in the Rafferty's Bowl. One can speculate they didn't want to start the season against Brandon Smith's alma mater.

Last I heard, Bowling Green's schedule was nearly complete with the exception of the Rafferty's Bowl. South Warren pulled out of the bowl last Friday and according to the Listserv they have not found a replacement.

Greenwood beat South Warren in 2016. South Warren was the #1 team in 4A. This one will rank up there for the Gators. Maybe Warren County schools will start an indoor facility for the Gators now.
