  1. Since 2012 Simon Kenton has played a home and home with a team outside of NKY twice. Bryan Station and CAL, along with random game against Danville. I assume that was a bowl game. They have a combined record including the playoffs of 55-10. I have very to little say as to Trinity's schedule. I would like to think that it would be easier for them to play a KY 6A schedule giving the headaches that it seems to be giving them to fill the 10th spot. Just wondering why a Simon Kenton fan would be so quick to get involved in a show me match with T fans when they are not lining up to play anybody outside of the traditionally weak NKY, aside from a good 2a team and a middle of the road LEX team.
  2. From what I hear the Floyd County school system is going to let every coach in the system go the beginning of May. Sounds crazy but a reliable source.Something about raises? Every coach in the county will have to reapply for their job. Super told the principals that the coaches that do not carry on doing the daily duties of their job in the mean time will not be considered at the time of application. Someone else can verify this for me. Does this mean that Hager has been given the job but then has to reapply after May 1st, or is he exempt from what looks like to me, a witch hunt for some?
  3. I would be curious to see if there is any correlation between lesser teaching loads and success in Jefferson Co. I know that Scroggins has said that he taught a full load. Just curious about Male..... Does Wolfe teach a full load? Manual? Would a coach need to resign for family reasons if he did not have to do so many of the "little things" on his own time? How does a coach that has a full load have time to talk to coaches that are recruiting their players? Asking..... What would fix the issues with coaching in Jefferson Co.? Would more pay make it work? less class time?
  4. Watched the game on line. I did not see that Lafayette was subbing their starters, I am aware they did not sub in the first game. With the nature of the game, I would be hesitant to put kids of lesser stature in against some of the more physically gifted players on the field. It was obvious that the intent for some drastically changed when the game got out of hand. I saw a lot of calls that where missed on the field that could have led to frustrations of players that obviously escalated later in the game.
  5. IN 2014 Trinity was 5-5 in regular season and played 11 of 15 games on the road including all 5 playoff games. QUOTE] In 2014 Trinity finished 5-5 in the regular season. Played 11 of 15 games on the road that included a trip to Indianapolis, two to Cincinnati, Male, Henderson County in the 1st round of playoffs, Meade County in the semi finals, and one trip to Manual. I forgot about Ensworth at their place!
  6. Trinity v. Belfry would not be as close as some would like to think. I am from EKY and very familiar with the Belfry program. Since living in Louisville I have had the opportunity to watch T play throughout the years. Belfry has had some good teams and would put up a decent game early but the complexity in which T plays would give them issues. The size and strength of Belfry would not be something that would overwhelm T. It would be a 3-4 TD win home, neutral or away
  7. NOT SO FAST! Eastern will beat Ballard at occasionally . With the wrong hire it may turn from occasionally to consistently.
  8. Farmer? After watching some of the Ballard games last year he seems to be schematically weak. What has he done to deserve a job like Ballard? Besides getting being average at Doss. Heard from a credible source that program was a mess when he left
  9. Manual Stadium: Is the oldest football stadium in Kentucky. It was home to the Kentucky High School State Championship games for Class AAA from 1959 to 1963. The stadium has a capaticy of 11,463, but can accommodate for over 15,000. I know this is purely hypothetical. What if the powers that be at JCPS turfed this stadium. I know that parking is an issue. I know that locker room are terrible. I know that it is not a college campus. I know that I am missing other issues. (I'm sure you guys will gladly point them out for me). There are plenty of issues, but what an atmospehere!
  10. Blame the parents or prior educators? Its obvious that this conversation is over your head. You can not blame any one for learning disabilities. Often they take years of education to overcome and rarely does a teacher or school system see the fruits of their labor until long after secondary school is over. I can not think of a better story than a school that takes a chance on a student that may not meet "standards" and helps that student turn themselves into the best they can be. Putting blame on parents and educators for lack of knowledge of a upcoming 9th grader is the most ridiculous comment I have read on this thread. A thread were a lot of ridiculous things have been said.
  11. Report of the helmets makes sense of the twitter post by former coach Mike Glaser. To sum it up.....The post had a pic of the traditional helmet and the quote," This helmet is a tradition unequaled." Makes you think that he is not happy with a change to the helmets.
  12. They messed up firing Weedman and his staff. They had quality men and good football minds there. Treated unfairly, and unfortunately for the kids I don't think that the powers that be are capable of replacing them.
  13. I had some great teachers that were not football coaches, and football coaches that were not great teachers. I cant recall one specific thing that teacher said to me in a classroom that made me think, "oh yeah that's what life is all about." On the other hand, I can recall countless moments when a coach made feel that way. Not about learning specific plays or fundamentals, but about being a good teammate, responsibility for my actions, and being held accountable because other people depend on me. Those are life lessons that will always override fractions or quadratic equations. I have multiple master degrees and without solid coaches in my life I would not be where I am today.
  14. Just curious the name and size of the kids that play for the Colonels that have been referred to as Div. I players.
