Anybody that has watched this team the last few years has seen how this coaching staff has interacted during games previously versus now. You don't have to be a Rhodes Scholar to figure out that Coach Cravens doesn't trust his current staff. Sit at a game and watch the interaction, none. As I stated in an earlier post, i have no kids or family that plays on the team. I am simply someone who used to live in County that follows the team and has seen the difference first hand. My "hearing" and "understanding" come from people that still live there, but there is no need to mention names here. There is no axe to grind because there is nothing to gain.

Districts...blind draw vs seeding
Baller replied to BiggDaddy's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
I thinks that is the way it should be. Season would mean much more. -
As the head coach. Here he is a great administrator within school system.

Now that the season is over for the Wildcats in Falmouth, just wondering what the thoughts are down there with the current coaching situation. Don't have a dog in the fight, but Coach Simms was pretty successful during his time there.

This was Wolfe's first full game back in over 4 weeks. She definitely looked rusty and tentative. Isabella Hall has also been out off and on the last 3 weeks with illness. She left the building to go home at halftime. These two are extremely important for there success in district tournament. -
38th District Draw?
Baller replied to I gotta go to work's topic in KY Boys Basketball (High School)
Ok folks, it wasnt such a long time ago that a MAJOR district game was played in a very small gym. The year was 2005 in Bracken County that saw Brossart and PC draw each other for a first round matchup. The line to get in the gym wrapped around the building. The atmosphere was awesome and the game was even better. While in the line, people talked high school basketball and their favorite team. That is high school basketball at its finest! Let schools host District games and participate in the exitement of it. Definitely, regional games need to be in the larger venues. On a side note, have been to the last 5 38th district tournaments and there has always been room, so the argument for the larger gym at least in the 38th doesnt fly. As for the seeding, read this post again. Two teams ranked in the top 20 of the state shouldn't have to play an elimination game in the first round of the district tournament. They both earned the right to go to the regionals. Nuff said! -
My understanding is that Transylvania is in the mix

Based on other games I have seen this week, this game was not called as close by the officials. Both teams made runs to keep it close the second half. GRG had the ball with around 40 seconds left and score tied. Officials whistled a jump ball with 1.7 left and Cats got the ball under GRC basket. Rest is history. Both teams played extremely hard. -

Unfortunately for PC, the two kids that can't get in foul trouble the first half did, Jolley and Wolfe. Struggle to get ball up the floor and no post threat. This same problem plagued them last year. -
Never missed a game. Know for a fact they schemed around her defensive liabilities due to her strength when in man to man. In time she will be a great defender as she gets stronger but until then she has a hard time keeping people in front of her.

Mikayla is a nice player, but is far from a shut down defender. They pretty much always went zone when she was in game, not to mention they played zone 90% of the time when she wasn't in the game.
