He started 19 games this past season for Calipari at Kentucky, averaging 7.2 points and 5.0 rebounds in 21.3 minutes. Some of the sophomore's best contributions came in the Wildcats' toughest games, putting up 16 points and 13 rebounds against Kansas in the Champions Classic; 15 points, 5 boards and 3 blocks against Gonzaga; and 14 points and 8 rebounds in a win over Auburn.

Not sure if it is just Cal. I just saw that Thiero is ranked No. 27 in ESPN's 2025 NBA draft rankings. I was a little surprised he was that high, but I was surprised by how high they had Sheppard as well so who knows.

I wonder why he announced now it is a bit late in the pre-season but it is a big time job so that will should help get some to quality names.
