  1. Isn't his name spelled "Prewitt"? In any case, he had a very strong senior season with Menifee County. Congrats!
  2. Leavitt Morrison of Rowan County has signed with Transylvania University for next fall. Morrison was perhaps best known for receiving a perfect score on the ACT exam, but he's a very athletic 6'6" player who can play both on the perimeter and in the paint. He should make some strong contributions to Transy's program. Congratulations, Leavitt.
  3. Bluegrass Will: Thanks for the image from the game. I admire your work!
  4. The Herald-Leader claims it was a 35 footer! Dang, what a game!
  5. This was a very close and hard-fought game--just like the two previous meetings. Coach Thacker has the Vikings playing their best ball of the year. Congrats.
  6. For the last couple of years, the EKC has been a "showcase" rather than a tournament. This year, ten teams played five games on 13 December in Lewis County. The results, according to the KHSAA site, were as follows: East Carter 66 Rowan 41 Elliott 109 Lewis 60 Bath 73 Russell 58 West Carter 68 Fleming 63 Morgan 53 Raceland 44
  7. Good win for Raceland. Boyd: Keep your heads up and keep fighting.
  8. When I saw this score last night I was a little surprised, so I waited for the box scores in the morning paper. East was able to limit the scoring of Maze and Metz to 15 and 14 respectively, while they placed three players in double digits: Jackson, Bair, and Barnhill. Good quality win for East Carter.
  9. This is going to be a hard-fought game. The Bath County faithful are loud and rowdy, so I'm going to predict that Bath wins by 8.
  10. Great Senior Night for the Vikings. Rowan dominated in the first half especially. All of the seniors (Duff, Morrison, Sergent, Stafford) scored. Ginter, who is a junior, led the scoring for the Vikings with 17. Morrison had a double double (10pts./12rbs.). The Vikings now have won three in a row.
  11. Congrats Greenup. Boyd: Keep your heads up and keep playing hard.
  12. Close game. Anybody got any stats? Comments on the game? Good district win for the Menifee Wildcats.
