Greg Coldiron named Lafayette coach

Yes, they will be back in the mix, but not as a good team. They will be in the mix of programs that are looking to hire a new coach in about 2 years. That is how much time that I will give him. He got fired at Cawood, then he got fired at Russell Co., then he got fired at Powell Co. I would guess that the trend will continue. -
Brian Kelly new head Coach Fleming County

He has not coached in Kentucky for 15 years. He was fired at Lawrence County. His son was Mr. Basketball last season in class AAA in Tennessee, but his team got beat first round in the district tournament. This was not a good hire. They should have went with Perry. Politics wins again in Fleming. -
You are the very type of person that sheds a bad light on coaches and high school programs. You have put negative post about your now ex coach all season. you need to lay off Coach Fraser and his son.

Bath Co. had 18 straight losing seasons and had not won a district championship in 30 years. In 2 seasons Coach Hicks is 40-12, 2 district championships, and back to back 20 win seasons. People also forget that he won a district championship at Greenup in his last season there. He also had 4 straight winning seasons at Greenup. No other Coach has done that since Coach Ward. Love him or hate him he is a winner.

I talked to someone this morning that asked Coach Hicks if he was staying at Bath County or going to Fleming County. They said he did not confirm or deny anything.

Give Coach Hicks a little more credit. His coaching record at Bath the past 2 seasons is 38-11. -

I was there......I think the ref shoving an assistant coach and the ref being restrained by another official is crazy. Bath has nothing to be embarrassed about. The referee should be embarrassed for not keeping his composure. Again - Way to go Bath Co.! Good rally at the end amist controversy. -

Coaches get technical fouls. I don't understand why it is such a big deal that Coach Hicks gets one. He is doing a really great job here in Bath County. We are glad to have him. I have seldom seen anyone on here give him kudos for turning a program around and bringing success to a school. Furtermore...What coach doesn't want their kids to get a good whistle? I think it is great that he is passionate about the game. Congrats Bath for a win on the road! -

Will there be a coaching change at Fleming County after the season? A lot of rumors floating around. -

If things do not improve will there be a coaching change at Fleming County? This is 3 straight losing seasons. -

If you have observed him you must not know much about basketball, because he is very organized, works extremely hard and develops players. The guy that coached the year befoare him went 11-19 with the same players that coach Hicks went 20-5 with. If you aren't from Bath Co. why are you concerned with how they are doing? -

The free throws were dead locked at 43 with 2 minutes to go and Montgomery started fouling to stop the clock. Montgomery shot 43 free throws so do not act like it was one sided. -

No not thumped at all. I think the Bell Co. game was close through out and ended up being an 8 point loss. I was at the Menifee game and Bath was up by 7 points with 5 minutes to go. They played horrible that night and lost by 9. -

Just sour grapes. I was at the game and Bath Co. played a lot harder than Montgomery. Montgomery shot 43 free throws. The fouls were dead even until Montgomery started fouling at the end. Do not blame the officals. Give Bath Co. some credit. -
All good coaches always use game situations for teaching purposes. I was there and they were working on their delay game. Bath only scored 1 point in the final 6 minutes. It was ok when Russell beat Bath by about 40 points a couple of years ago. Coach Hicks has turned our program around and in my book he has a lot of class.
