Although they had to deal with an extreme hieght disadvantage, Southern gave Clark a good game. With only 40 sec. left, Southern was down by three and had to start fouling.(a familiar position against top ten opponants lately). I know Southern was very appreciative of both Clark and Scott county for putting togather last minute games in place of other weather related cancellations. Competing against top teams helps come distict and region time.

Where was it played?

Gold, I don't know if Madison Southern should be ranked 16th or not but you must not have seen them play Scott Co at Scott. They were down 5 with 39 seconds left and had to start fouling. While it was a 10 pt loss it was still impressive, on the road no less. Don't count them out yet.

Madison Southern lost to East Jessamine because they had 2 extra players, as usual. Southern certainely did not play a good game, but if you look at EJ's record, 8 of their 9 wins are at home. Now we know why. Both teams played one heck of a game tonight! This game most definitely deserved to be the game of the week! Crazy atmosphere and a lot of heart from both teams! Hats off to Coach Buttry and his staff for switching to a pressure 2-3 at the end! Gutsy call and worked like a charm. Congrats to Southern on a huge win!

Pilar Walker - Guard from Dunbar has signed with Eastern Illinois Univ.

The superintendant was hired after Coach was fired. There is another rumor going around about why he was fired - has to do with them losing in the first round of the districts in the 2006-2007 season.
