I had the opportunity to play for Coach Cooksey on his first team at Fairview. He always was a positive coach and believed in everyone of his players. I have always looked up to him and really hate to see this happen. I have watched his son Derek coach the JV team the past couple of years and his players have a lot of respect for him. I think he has the ability to be a very good basketball coach in the years to come.

Shaft I am not saying I know more than you. I have some very reliable sources too. If it happens so be it. I think that Coach Hicks is an outstanding basketball coach and he will be very successful where ever he is a head coach. However he has had some issues at both schools he has coached at in the 16th Region and I do not think the administration at Rowan County would want to have to deal with that.

Shaft, I can guarantee you that there is not way that the administration at Rowan County is interested in Coach Hicks. 100%!!!!

Fairview and Rowan County has been cancelled tonight. Game is rescheduled for tomorrow night at 7:30 p.m.

The 16th Region has three officials that will be doing the state tournament this year: Boys State Tournament Marla Gearheart Joe Billman Girls State Tournament Bobby Hall Congrats to all three officials. Marla will become only the:dancingpa:dancingpa second female to officiate the Boys State Tournament!!!!

I think you are correct. Elliott had to cancel their game with Fairview becuase of too many games played.

Game is at Fairview. Rex is a little wild on the sidelines but he is always coaching. However it does not matter if you are coaching the refs are suppose to enforce bench decorum regardless. Rex was warned once on Friday against Greenup County. Rose Hill 68 Fairview 67

Not much credit is given to Fairview. The Eagles have a nice team with some nice athletes. Fairview will be ready to play. Don't count them out.

Tonights Fairview Game ve Lewis County will be live on 105.7 WLGC All other games will be taped delayed on 105.7 WLGC WLGC has decided this year to cover Fairview and Russell football and basketball. Except for tonight WLGC will cover all Russell football games live. As for basketball it appears the majority of Fairview Basketball games will be broadcat live with Russell basketball games being tape delayed except for when they play on different nights. Kentucky basketball broadcasts will always be live broadcasts even if Fairview or Russell are playing on the same dates.

Cooksey will NEVER give up basketball and from talking to people within the Fairview organization Jeff Hall has no interest in being head coach. I know that sounds crazy considering his son plays for Fairview. I would love to see Jeff Hall as the head coach at Fairview but it is not going to happen.
