Dont see it happening in this game. Boone is to deep on the bench and better disciplined with the ball. I also understand that Cooper will be playing without Sebald who had a bad knee injury in a game against Bellevue Friday night.
I have watched a game that was getting "out of control" and the ref took it into his own hands, quietly warned the coach and when he kept going, started T-ing him up. That got his attention real quick and a standing O from the crowd.
Most times a game that ends up with a score like this is passed on and not posted. I've seen high school baseball scores that end up 25-5 before the mercy rule comes into play and the coach who calls in the score will do so as a 11-1 final to show sportsmanship. But if you have to beat your chest...
I spoke with parents who couldn't understand why Ryle had a full court press on when they were up by over 20 pts in the third quarter. Was Cooper posing that big of a comeback threat? I can understand wanting your players to keep playing hard but you could do that dropped back in a zone defense. Things that make you go Hmmmm.
I agree with you TOG! It is a great venue but the playing surface is terrible at this time of year and has been in past years. Time to show a little more love to the guys and girls and give them something better for the state finals!
Better watch out for Scott H.S. New coach Casey Seibert was a driving force with those Ryle teams as Collins assistant. He knows the game. Scott couldn't have made a better pick.
If you have seen them play 95% of the JV squad dresses varsity and plays every game. Not to mention it didn't have much of an impact on the game with the other teams dropping down players.
From what I understand most of the teams that could, brought down players to play. I think Cooper are all sophomores, so I don't know where the harm in that would be letting them play against some more equal competition. I haven't noticed them in the top 10 in NKY or top 20 for that matter. Did they win their game?
