  1. Juggernautjr, Are you talking about the same guys that the Tigers rolled over last year? Yes that was amazing! Amalong and Elliot are quick, 4.4 40s for Elliot and not far behind for Amalong. Last week the Tigers ran for 250 plus against a bigger more seasoned team than Lloyd. Look for Bankamper to go 170+ Elliot 100+ and Tiepel for 80+ and if they get Davis in the mix it will be a long night for your fleet of foot DBs. Hope this quick silver defense can tackle!
  2. I wouldn't read to much into the E-town loss, a close game there is not reason to think they can play with B-Wood. The Tigers D showed up big against Dixie last week. The line is just to well coached and to big for the Juggs. As far as coach goes, at this point in the program, Yeagle, Lucas or even Vince Lombardi wouldn't make much of a difference. Tigers By 25
  3. Wow, when are you folks gonna stop flogging that horse,ITS DEAD!! Still in Dayton No excuses?
  4. sports guy, I know all to well. I had two kids that played for him.
  5. Had the oppurtunity to see Dixie vs NCC,NCC has nothing to make me think repeat, nothing at all. They were fortunate to win it last year, but that song has been sung to often. This team has no true weapons, and is weak in key positions. SK 28 NCC 17
  6. Wow, same story. Those are the same excuses Beecwood used to use for Mike Yeagle in his last couple of years, I hope the Juggs dont have to travel that road!
  7. dewey47 give play calling a little credit, to put a ball in the air with little time left, against a defense that is pushing your cooked O line around, I repeat "BONEHEAD"
  8. congrats to Beechwood! Someone tell the Dixie coach two a days do pay off. Thought the Bwood "D" played an exceptional game, Slusher was impressive, Bessey and Mainello shut down the ends when needed. Sr. Chris Hoffman, despite injury played the game with heart. Elliot has to come to terms with his run and shoot style of passing needs work, looked good on pocket throws. Bankamper ran hard but lost a couple of balls This team is where it needs to be to achieve its lofty goals. Dixie, Boys take your coach out and flog him, he lost this game, not you. What a bonehead call on that late interception! And to field a team with that little stamina is an insult to the proud heritage that the Dixie teams have earned, Shame on you. Hagerty, M:dancingpa aloney and the qb, great job
  9. congrats to Dayton and Holmes on the return game, if there was nothing else there was that! Poor execution from both of these teams. But a win is a win amd that all that counts.
  10. :fire: :fire: wont know till 3:00 today but I am sure it will, Tigers have had a strong week in practice, Davis and Mainello have been intense, watch for this tandem to disrupt Dixies timing on passing play. Tigers 24-21
  11. 5 Belfry 3 Beechwood 3 Campbell 1 Bardstown 1 DuPont 1 Boyle 1 Boone 1 North Bullitt 1 Bell 1 Danville Tiebreaker #1 = 41
  12. I think the answer to this riddle is who has the most depth, I hear of great lbackers at dixie, if they have no depth they are one injury away from mediocracy, how are there dbs and line if I remember correctly, fair. Gotta give Highlands the nod here, they have always been prepared to have someone step up. On the 1a side a one horse race, Beechwood. Mainello gave big Zach at Newcath more than he could handle last year. destroyed Dayton with 2 fumble recoveries and and interception for a td Moorehead and Bankamper at lbackers will ring a few bells, line has size and speed.
  13. Dont have a dog in the 1a fight leatherneck, retired with too much time on my hands! Just calling it as I see it, all but one of the Linemen(when is the last time you saw a quick 300 lbs nose man) are drilling with the 2nd level skill players as far as running goes, and not in the rear of the pack! I know fast and there that. "THEY'RE REAL AND THEY'RE SPECTACULAR" to quote a Sienfeld episode. See you on the 10th
  14. Have gone to camps of Dixie, Cov Cath, and Beechwood this summer. Although it is just run throughs at this point, I have to give the nod to the Tigers. There conditioning, is far superior to the other two, Cov Cath will catch up and Dixie as usual will not hit there game speed untill 4-6 games into the season. Thank the coach for that, light drills and no 2 a days will make for long second halves early on. As far as size goes again Beechwood, the O and D lines are monsters! I think coach Rash is being generous with his posted weights and they run with the lbackers. Cov Caths Brent Buckley is the cream! He will win games for the Colonels, lots of them. Saw Dixie in the inner school O Drills, looked ok, no RBs so hard to tell. Thought QB made some bad throwing errors, complete, but he wont get away with it in there division routes looked crisp. Good luck to all the boys!
