Not much to report from the Mercer County side. There is not a leader on the offensive side of the ball. Quarterback can't run the option (or chooses not too) - he never looks to give it up to the back - he just keeps the ball and runs backwards all the time. I sure hope Jaggers knows to go back to the bone on offense, because what they were running the other night is not going to work.
On the defensive side -the secondary needs a lot of work. I don't think anyone in the secondary was over 5'6". Very short players and no speed. Buster, Horn, and Reed were decent at end and linebackers.
I sure hope things change before this coming Saturday when they play Russell County.
As for Danville, Macon is the real deal. I hope he keeps his head in the game this year- he can be a "real deal" player.
