I think this game was little bit of both Eastern not being as bad as first thought and PRP being not as good as first thought. The panthers did not respond well to thunder delays and Eastern fighting back. This seemed to be the first game where the panthers were truly wore out by going against a team back and forth for 4 qtrs. This was a good wake up call for the panthers. They learned a lesson that the best teams in 6A will come in and get the job done all 4 qtrs no matter the opponent. Now it is up to them to make that change or be ok with being just good.
You probably weren't paying attention, but they were only up 7 late in the 2nd half last week after having a big lead..

I was quoting someone that said "I hope Scott co flexes their muscles." Which I thought meant going outside their everyday work. And to me going outside what you normally do to "flex" is being cute. I would seriously doubt they would do that. You should have read who I was quoting as well.
Scott is bigger and stronger. I hope they flex that strength. Getting cute was your idea. It doesn't make much sense to people who know McKee.

I'd like to see Scott county flex a little muscle here, especially defensively.

Connect any dots???? Are you kidding me? My Saint Xavier source was misinformed regarding identifying Taylor or Coleman.
I am much happier it is Coleman because Taylor has much more talent. I never mentioned either player was a transfer nor imply they were illegally recruited. Heaven knows rules are never violated at 1609 Poplar Level Road. Best of luck at Bowling Green.
They are just calling you out because you claim to know things that turn out to be not true, and your comment, if true, would have been viewed as making an excuse for Trinity losing. Dot-Dot-Dot Kind of like when you insinuated I was an X fan yesterday.

Thats what I'm trying to get at. There are athletes in the county, they just don't play football. But its not like they quit playing football to pursue other sports, they just never played football to begin with. Kids don't ever develop a love for the game.
And there is one of the flaws in Kentuckys system. Hey, Grant you have a lot of kids living in the county, it doesn't matter that they have never even played a sport.

At this point I agree with you. I think when they can reasonably compete they can rejoin the district, but right now it's completely counter productive to the goal which is to build momentum around the program.
I think more teams should drop out and schedule each other.

It seems odd to be pulling back on offense and going more conservative and less explosive with a senior qb, no?
-
Christian County platoons. Have an extremely young offense that is getting better...which D1 skill players on offense are you referring to?
Specifically Langhi the division 1 qb who threw for 45 yards in game 1. I expected better and that is what the other poster is probably referring to as well. In your words extremely young offense that is getting better is not what he expected from the #1 team in the west.
-
Defense has forced 9 turnovers in two games with two scores limited both Offenses to under 200 total yards only surrendered two scores...what's there not to be impressed with?
Division 1 skill players that aren't scoring a lot of points right now?

I thought Trinity fans like yourself would be above excuses.

We'll see how this translates down the road. Saint Xavier varsity defensive starter James Taylor was the fastest player on the field. He was used much the same as Rondale Moore is used in Trinity's varsity offensive scheme. As for the sophomores used on Trinity's varsity roster, two come to mind: Ryan Miller-receiver and Jacob Dingle-safety. If the freshman team loses in similar fashion on Monday, then Saint Xavier can really start to brag about the future.
The problem with this is that no one named James Taylor is a starter for X. No one named James Taylor is on the 2 deep defense for X.

BG really needs to win this game............
Why?

Purple88 its OK. He's wrong a lot. He couldn't comprehend when I told him how good PRP was last week before the game.

Doug Strothman who was named DeSales president 10 years ago. He was definitely not your traditional pick for president, he was never a teacher. However, he has a strong background in the business community in successfully leading people, problem solving and strategic planning, all of which he used very effectively in turning DeSales from a struggling school some wondered if would exist in 10 years to a thriving small school in those 10 years.
Further evidence that the skills of a teacher have zero correlation to administration.

Why are they playing Portland? Portland has been bad for probably around a decade if not longer.
Because they have a freshman team and didn't cancel. Frosh games get cancelled a lot.

It impacted him for the last few years that he coached.
The mercy rule was 45 when Dale coached.

Please don't start me on the Magic Number.
But I love the magic number Guru! I have won a couple contests with the magic number.

Things must be downright awful in Independece. Calpreps has Ryle ranked higher than SK.

So, my varsity scores 36 on you i'm the bad guy but my varsity scores 42 on you i'm classy, got it.

did they talk to anyone at greenwood before they hired her?

You can tell a lot about where the coach thinks his program is at by looking at his schedule.

Nah. Prp is an emotional team that pumps themselves up and has a lot of adrenaline early. They pay a bit of a price after that wears off. This is the 3rd time its happened not the first. They were in a 1 point scrimmage against Fern Creek and up by 7 in the 4th quarter on Bowling Green. I suppose 21-0 vs Eastern actually doesn't even count as a back and forth game.
