Some highlights:
Nelson County's Dylan Beasley: 74 of 109, 1,334 yards, 13 TD through three games.
Bishop Brossart's Jacob Elbert: 49 rush, 642 yards, 5 TD through two games.
Keep in mind these are only stats for teams that have turned them in to the KHSAA. Someone out there may be having a better season than these two so far.

Simple statement. Pointless thread. Thanks for you input though
So was mine.

It's Army Bowl time in the Bluegrass. Fort Campbell at Fort Knox.
Fort Knox hasn't won this game since a 28-0 win in 2002. The closest game since that year was in 2010, when Fort Campbell won 28-26 at Knox.
How will this year's game turn out? Who ya got?

How about the Army Bowl between Fort Campbell and Fort Knox?

Could this be one of the most pointless threads ever created on BGP?

It really wasn't.
LaRue County was held to 87 total yards, and Spencer County couldn't take advantage of some pretty good field advantage.

Ref 1: "Play Highlands," they said.
Ref 2: "It'd be a good game," they said.
-
LaRue had 293 rushing yards out of its new hybrid spread look. Adair just didn't look very good at all.

Trinity is the Shamrocks, not the Tigers.

You're right. I meant to post that earlier this week, but forgot.

E'town High School is getting a new stadium in time for the 2013 season.
The school board has had to scale back to keep the project under budget, but the plans haven't changed much.
They're having turf installed, meaning it'll be the second -- possibly third -- high school stadium in this area with turf (Nelson County was first, and I believe Thomas Nelson has a turf field as well).
They started work a few weeks ago.

Meade wins on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh.

They need to throw the ball. But I've heard Jaggers is keeping the run-oriented offense for now.

That's what he said on the record.
A few folks I know have said they've heard rumblings of something going on at North, but none of them knew what.

Resignation was official last week.
Resigned after four seasons and won 12 games in the last two years. Program appeared to be headed on a pretty good upswing under Jaggers, too.
Brent Thompson has been named interim head coach. He's a good guy -- I'd love to see them remove the interim tag and let him have a shot.

GIRLS' PREP BASKETBALL: Thomas resigns as Central's coach (03/26) | TheNewsEnterprise.com
Thomas was at Central for one season. The Lady Bruins went 9-21.

This game was over early for Meade.
Apollo shot 71 percent in the first half, compared to 24 for Meade.

People are overlooking Meade County. If anything, Ohio County's loss could definitely be Meade County's gain.
I was at this game and wasn't very impressed with Ohio. They looked flat all game -- but maybe that was because I was watching them for the first time this season.
But it was a good game, with a dang good back and forth battle. I thought for sure Ohio County would call a timeout to set a final play up, but I don't know if they had any.

Play the first round on Tuesday and the 2nd round on Friday or Saturday of the same week.
Please tell me you're joking.

1. Meade County (4-6, 2-0)
2. Central Hardin (6-4, 1-1)
3. Nelson County (1-9, 0-2)
4. Simon Kenton (2-8, 0-4)
Sad thing is Simon Kenton MAY be better then 2 of the teams that are seeded higher then them and head to head in this district likely finishes 3rd and maybe 2nd. I'm not sure that they might not even win this district.
A 2-8 team is not better than a 6-4 team ...

This game was closer than the final score indicates.
North was down 21-16 after a safety in the third quarter, but could pull no closer.
