Wow. Honestly never thought I'd see the day Harp was no longer coaching at Danville. Figured he'd retire there.

Shawn Thompson has more or less been fired after two seasons at Fort Knox. He went 3-17.
Was told it wasn't a resignation and that the administration had talked about making a change several weeks ago. Coach really is one of the good ones; it just wasn't a good situation at Knox.

Don't want to jinx anyone nor will I EVER root for the Grapes...but...JH averaged 43.46 points per game and scored 13 against Coach Griff's D. THAT's domination and the reason they had a chance for the miracle.
Not sure I'd call that domination.

One of the best atmospheres in the state, even if it's not in a good part of town.

Why?

Meade was completely dominant, especially after recovering a fumble on the opening kickoff.
-
And because of the setup, they lose all tiebreakers ...

How good is this LaRue Co. team? I believe that they will be Corbin's first round opponent in the playoffs, which will renew a very good rivalry from a few years back when Corbin was in the western section of 2A.
Now that they've gone back to running the ball out of the Wing T instead of the hybrid spread -- and moved Kelton Ford to running back -- they're pretty dang good.

But I think the program is heading in the right direction -- or eventually will be -- under Billings.
It's only his second year at E'town and they're still adjusting to life under his guidance. The results may not show it on the field, but I think this E'town team is much better than last year.

I heard John picked up Highlands for the next two years, according to the local news. That should help ease the ridicule. Of course, if Highlands is down.....like say Boyle, Henry Clay... Then we'll still be catching crap from western kentucky contenders.
This is correct.

When will JH play a good team? Easy to be undefeated when you play cupcakes week-in and week-out.
If you would have posted this two years ago, I'd be inclined to agree with you.
But John Hardin has beefed up its schedule recently -- more so than it ever was in the past.
Also: J'town is a district opponent. Not much they or John Hardin can do about this one.

What's up with Ft. Knox? I thought they were supposed to be getting better? Has the troop increase not happened yet?
New troops have moved in. It's just the majority of those are younger families. BRAC never really was going to increase Knox's personnel.

One of the players went to the hospital but later returned.
One got hit in the head by a Bardstown players' knee, another had a seizure on the field and yet another was driven to the hospital by his parents. A very rough night for the Eagles. With the injury stoppages, the first quarter took an hour to complete.

Dylan Byrd finished with 149 yards and a touchdown on eight carries.
The game could've been different had Fort Knox scored on its first two drives, but the Eagles fumbled the ball and threw an interception. Running clock started early in the third quarter after what seemed like an eternity to get the first half over with.
-
The Cardinals ran the ball more than they have all season. Jones finished with 199 yards and a touchdown on 27 carries.

No, Kentucky. Doesn't Moore live in Indiana? I thought he did. I was assuming he just went back to play in the state where he lives. So Kentucky needs to tell these kids from Indiana and Ohio that they have to live in Kentucky to play sports in Kentucky.
OK. I read it as he lives in Kentucky, not the other way around.

And the reason several news papers have cut back on coverage is because news papers themselves have gone through staffing cuts. The media is not immune to the economical issues our country is facing.

I had to email Shawn Berner to get an updated roster for the Army Bowl because his KHSAA roster wasn't correct or up to date. He had no issues sending me one, but how can we be 100 percent sure the rosters on the KHSAA site are correct?
Easy answer, TB&G: We can't. I always try to get a roster from the school either at the game I'm covering or beforehand each week because I don't trust their roster to be accurate online.
However, if I know a roster is correct and up to date, I'll print some extra copies to give to whomever wants one at a game -- be it the PA guy or someone else.

Really impressed with Tristen Luke. That kid can flat out fly.
-
Is the KHSAA going to have to close the out of state loophole like Ohio did? Ohio says you must live in state to be eligible to play sports.
Wouldn't that be Indiana closing the loophole?
-
So who was Joker there to see tonight?
-
I had Campbell with 446 total yards, 350 on the ground.
Knox just didn't look like it wanted to play tonight.

Trojans lead 27-8 at the half.
