They avg 5-10 243lb. 3 of the 5 are starting for their 4th year and the other 2 for there 2nd year. 4 Sr. and 1 Jr.
Sometimes it doesn't say much to have more than one four year starter Last I heard Brackens whole team had started for 4 and they aren't exactly tearing it up.

I can't wait! Will you be in attendance with me True Blue?

Whats Trimbles O-line like?
-
I hope that Ludlow middle linebacker does not punish that Trimble 300 pound fullback too bad. We will need him for the rest of the year.
I'll be sure to tell Jake to be nice to him. But on a serious note Jake and the fullback does sound very entertaining.

With Ludlow's damaging defense and Trimble's high-powered offense this sounds like a must see! Are we talking game of the year here?
-
Sounds like dives up the gut all year with those two backs.
-
Love the optimism! And they should be improved on last year. But reality is this defense gave up 44 to Holy Cross, 45 to Beechwood, and 50 to NCC while scoring a total of 14 points in all three games combined.
Ludlow had some injuries last year but the defense just wore down in games against teams with a capable offense.
The middle linebacker was out last year. Thats any defenses heart and soul. Ludlow wasn't experienced and neither was coach Borchers. I guess what Im trying to say is it's a knew year!

Whats this Trimble RB like?
-
We (Trimble) are very excited about this game, too. Trimble lost six players to graduation last year, one being the QB. They return RB David Bird (All State HM, co-District Player of the Year), along with fellow defensive LB Justin Hawkes (who has played QB in the past) and a strong offensive and defensive line.
What does Ludlow have?
By the way, welcome to the site, Uncle Charlie!
Ludlow has a defense that can only be described as stellar. They have a middle linebacker that will punish any RB that wants to challenge him. Also they have outside backers with GREAT speed. The D-line is the biggest the school has had in years and look to also be able to stuff the run. When teams resort to pass Ludlows young but talented DB's will more then get the job done. They will be lead by senior DB Buddy Lundsord and his defense looks to hit hard and force turnovers. Their offense is a question mark. They have the talent to be great, but the line will have to be better than last year. Josh Montooth has the chance to return any kick. He runs a 4.4 i believe.

A split second or a second is all the difference wood bats would make. Unfortunately Mr. Layne would've had no time either way. All my thoughts are with him he is a great young man with great desire and I know he will make a full recovery.
-
You are probably right, w/the top QB coming back and the top returning RB(IMO), not to mention maybe the biggest OL in NKY, they won't be as good as they usually are! Only time will tell.
BURN!!:flame: lol

Supposedly, the CovCath/Beechwood game which will be played on a Friday night under the lights now is CCH's Sr night.
I will have to catch that one. The atmosphere was aweome enough at CCH playing on Saturdays. Imagine what a Friday night will bring!

Rouse is in my prayers lol.

Several places... Brookville, Indiana, Mancester, Rome, and Addyston all in Ohio. We make an annual trip to Kansas. Also a farm in Warsaw.
-
I know its early to think about it, but this bowl game has me PUMPED! Just wondering what Trimble Co. has to offer and any predictions you may have.
-
Apparently you haven't seen Mr. Rouse run the ball. Also how many yards he earns rushing just for saving his own life while his line is trying to learn to pass block lol. Even though that line should be MUCH improved this year.

Dayton Green Devils and the Bellevue Tigers
I'd just say whenever Bellevue, Dayton, or Ludlow play. During my playing days we said those games were for bragging rights on the river.
-
Also worth mentioning is Jarrett Rouse, the QB at Ludlow. He is not a running back but, He has speed agility and great vision. Once he's passed the LB's he is gone. He has also mastered the Reggie Bush dive. Jarrett has great ability and will definately be in the top 5 rushers on NKY next season.
-
I'm not about to call him the best but he is worth mentioning. Braydon Millls a junior is entering his 3rd year of starting. He now knows the playbook well and finally put on a little bit of weight for running between the tackles. He'll also actually have a line this year instead ofrunning for his life every play. This being said Braydon should be in the top ten in rushing.

It is no secret that most schools will schedule their homecoming against the "guaranteed win". Am I the only one that feels this is wrong and takes away from the event? Homecoming is for fun all week and anticipation for the HUGE hard hitting game on Friday! I understand coaches claiming players can't conentrate during the week with activities for homecoming but great athletes adjust.i just feel homecoming when the alumni are all present and 1-2 weeks of anticipation are packed into one night you should play your teams big rival. or atleast a competitive team. Its hardly worth it to wait all week to see the freshmen and JV play the second half. How does everyone else feel about this?
-
Talk is already going around in Panther country about the Bellevue game. Is this game circled on the Tigers schedule as well?
-
How do you get looked at for baseball at Heritage??? Must play summer ball.
-
I'd also say Ryan Goss (former Ryle and Centre College star) could be a great coach if he can get players to stick around. He is currently a high school assisatant coach with what the kids describe as a CRAZY attitude. Im not even sure he coaches just one position... he can literally teach EVERY one on the field. If he could get kids to buy into his system with his craziness he'd have a great football team.

No problem on the details.
