Be kinda hard for him to cover both Peters and Sullivan if he can shut down anyone 1 0n 1. 2 is more than 1, maybe he can cover anyone 2 on1.
Can you read? The thread clearly says Lundsford will shut 1 down while they double cover your other threat. SO:lol: yourself.
-
That passing game sounds dangerous, but if Buddy Lundsford can get to 100% he can shut down anyone 1-1. Also QB Jarrett Rouse has the athleticism to cover many people. That being said the Panthers need Lundsford firing on all cylinders to help here. If he can shut down someone they can double cover others. I hope Buddy gets back not only because I am a fan but because I'm very excited about this game and want to see both teams to the best of their ability.

From the sounds of it this game will come down to who is better conditioned... Bird's offense or Helmer's defense. I don't know how they condition down in Trimble but I know Borchers conditions the Panthers to death.
-
I still look forward to the battle of Bird and Jake Helmer... Jake is truly fearless and I see this being a great battle the whole way.
-
Jake Helmer is Ludlows MLB. Last year while playing OLB he was injured and only played four games while recording 50+ taclkes and 3 forced fumbles.
-
Interesting... Any details on that Lundsford injury?
-
I know nothing about them... post away.

Same here. We had a couple of seniors quit early on but IMO they were the type of loses that only make your team better if you know what I mean.
-
Back to this bowl game.... Trimble have any injuries that'll hurt em?
-
Bracken Co.
-
I'd put Beechwood on this thread too.
-
How many wins do thet have in school history? Any idea?
-
It looks like the only other common ground from last year is Carroll Co.
LHS-13
CC-6
TC-29
CC-14
Yeah defense won that CC game... Offense had a few turnovers.

Just looking at the KHSAA scoreboard from last year. The final score was 48-0. Does this mean that your JV had trouble scoring on them?
JV couldn't score last year. It was 48-0 when the starters came out. The JV's D was dominant though.

I understand... Haha I guess the Polar Bears don't get to schedule the guaranteed win do they?
-
Not all that much to offer at Ludlow. Jarrett Rouse who has started since he was a freshmen can handle the ball great and shoot lights out but his stats may be hurt by the fact that Ludlow has no real big man to keep pressure off of him.

It was our homecoming game. The radar showed nothing but major rain for hours. Bracken Co did not want to come back, so they agreed to a running clock. The rain was so bad that you could barely see the actual plays.
It's truly sad to be bad enough to agree to a running clock and just flat not want to come back after tweve points. The fact that they were your homecoming plays right into what I said in my homecoming thread.

Really? To that I say so what, a coach believes in his team. I don't think it out of the realm for anybody, including myself a huge Dixie fan to believe they might have the best offense in NKY going into the season. Our QB is a three year starter, our RB is a three starter, we have numerous returning WR including Detmer another 3 year starter not to mention our team is laden with 30 returning seniors.
While Beechwood is a very good team, offensively Dixie is capable of out performing anyone in NKY and they have the offense system to do it. Only time will tell who is right and wrong, but to chastise someone merely because they don't give the answer you want is ludicrous.

I thinked it'd be best if something happened where he had to retire before he even tied it. I HATE Barry I have this arguement with my father everyday.
-
The best ever? Wow there must be big things brewing in B-Wood because that is a really really bold statement!
-
I understand. And I do remember a bit about your concrete stadium. You know, not all of us have great facilities, but if it has 100 yards marked out (well, 120 for the endzones) and lights, then I like it!
True... Plus you know what. Theres a special feel about a Friday night in the mud of an old torn up grass field vs the new age turf.
-
It has been a while since I have been to Ludlow (seems like the last time was when we played you in 2002 maybe?), so I can't quit remember your field to make a comparison. As is the case for many places, the visitor bleachers leave a little to be desired, but they have a nice field and a track around it. Changing facililites are in the gymnasium. Parking is pretty good and the lighting is good.
Ludlows still got the old concrete stadium built during the great depression. The playing surface is nice until girls soccer tears it up. Our track has somehow vanished also, the bathrooms smell and the water doesn't work, and everything has a leak... but were proud of it! We call it home!
P.S. We don't have parking.

On a serious note not to get off track, nut why can't Bracken win? Their line has size. They have that #5 that did EVERYHING. Don't you think they could pull one out sometimes?? Whats wrong down there?
-
I will see if I can fit it in my schedule.
Seriously, Trimble has had varsity football back for 12 years now and I have only missed 5 total games. Henry Co is right next door, too. They have a pretty nice facility, if you haven't been there.
This'll be a first trip there for me. Glad to here its nice i know the players were wondering.
