The Cardinals introduced former University of Kentucky offensive lineman Mike Riddle as coach this morning at the school. Riddle lettered for four seasons with the Wildcats (1995-98) and was named Scout Team Player of the Year in 1998. Riddle played under Bill Curry and Hal Mumme at Kentucky and was on the team’s 1998 squad that lost to Penn State in the Outback Bowl.
Riddle hired as new football coach at George Rogers Clark - The Winchester Sun: GRC Sports
A local website has evidence that Mike Riddle did not letter for four seasons at UK. Why would Mike Riddle knowingly provide false information on his biography during the interview process? This doesn't make sense.

Final score?

SC had a kid leave on a stretcher early in the 3rd. He was ruuning a drag route and as the ball got there #45 from Rowan hit him helmet to helmet. Real dirty play and then stood over the kind and done some kid of gesture. Took about a half hour to start play up again and then Sheldon Clark preceeded to score the next play
He is an agressive player. I saw him play against Greenup County last week.
I'll say a prayer for the SC player.

A sane person would also understand the concept of "beatdown" as well.
Understanding isn't what is important. Finding the grace and wisdom to use that knowledge is.

The assigning secretary needs to be aware of communities that certain officials operate in.
Obviously, Raceland would have won last night without the officials' mistakes. That is not the point of this post.
The point is that the assigning secretary and other crews need to be aware that Greenup County will no longer tolerate inappropriate officiating that endangers the safety of our players.
1.) Helmet to helmet (several times)
2.) Late hit out of bounds (several times)
Non-safety tidbits from the game.
1.) Inadvertant whistle on the Interception return for a TD.
2.) Holding penalty on GC's OL that was called simply because the Ram player fell to the ground. (The GC player isn't strong enough to drive your player into the ground.) That was the play that Lyle made it to the 2 yard line, I believe.
There are others, but I'll leave it at that. These aren't sour grapes. But, the officials are making it difficult for the kids at GCHS to enjoy the game of football.
Let's hope that the officials don't affect the Boyd County/Greenup County game this week.
(BTW, I hope that Raceland wins Class 1A this year!)

Thanks for the information.

Uh, O.K. then, that clears it up.:thumb:
That being said -- there should be impartiality in officiating between JFL and Varsity games.
I would say that was lacking Friday night.
Ram fans, would you agree that there should be impartiality in officiating between JFL and Varsity games? In other words, should a community be able to have a set of officials at their Saturday morning JFL games also officiate for their Friday night Varsity contests?
-
Oldram's comments were about something entirely different than what you referred to. By fixed he meant as in player mistakes solved (by the Ram coaches).
Your inference about my reference is making my head dizzy. Have I once mentioned the meaning of my reference? Once again Ram fans, your comments are portentous.

Now, back to my question. Are you blaming the officials for a 40-6 loss?
No sane person would blame the officials for a 40-6 loss. I am not insane.
But once again, oldram said it all.
-
 I would hope that I misunderstood and that you are not blaming a 34 point beatdown on the officials.
beatdown?
It is said that one should be far more gracious in victory than in defeat.

I have one question. Just one. 4th and 4, not 4th and 1, 4th and 4, QB sneak? Someone explain please. Its had me confused since last night. OK I lied. Question 2, I know that Smith ran the ball well last night, but is there a reason Lyle didnt touch the ball the entire 1st & 3rd quarters? It seemed he was getting 8 to 10 yrds every time he touched the ball. Including a great TD run that got called back.Question 3, Dillow ran like a beast last night. Anyone who watched this kid in middle school and freshman year knew that he could do this. Why is this the first time he has ran the ball in 3 years? I have more but I will wait on the answers to these for now.
1) ???
2) ???
3) ???
These are excellent questions, Coupon21.

Any updates?
Does anybody have a link for the broadcast?

oldram said it all

about penalities. They were fixed
I agree with you.
-
Raceland fans are appearing quite portentous.
-
Boyd County does have the best player on the field in Wilson
Rashard Carter will be the best player on the field on Friday night.
-
I think all stats point to this being a Raceland massacre.
