Rose Hill lead at the half and in the 3rd quarter the offical scorer had both teams scoring 11pts and the Greenup score keeper and the Daily Ind. had Greenup scoring 12pts in the quarter they made 5 baskets and two free throws by them so that is where they stand on the difference in scoring.

Did Raceland protect the ball better in this game?

Raceland has to improve in ball handling and the passing game. The gamesthat I have seen alot of lazy passes and the younger players play scare when they are pressured,they must get over this quickly to advance in the dist. tourn. Also dont be afraid to shoot the ball when they are open.

Wish him the best of luck and hope he stays healthy.He could help UC in the next few years. Dont see him starting as a freshmen if he does good luck.

Some parents does not have the kind of money to show case their child. They cannt afford all the camps and showcases that is out there to help there kid. I would like to wish Billy all the best this year and in his future.

I just hope that J. Barr is close to what everybody is saying about him we all know what Billy can do.

Logan is a pre-season All American to say a kid that you havent even seen play yet is just as good is comical. I would hate to be this kid and have this much weight dropped on my shoulders before he has even put on the orange and black.

If you referring to McKee, yes he could be in the mix. He hasn't shown interest in the past. He is one of the most talented kids on the team and could have a stand out year, no matter the position.

I wish he would the past couple of years but he did not want to and I think what he wants to be wr/kr/pr but who knows.I have been asked why he was not qb in the past and I told them the reasons why. He(McKee) does have the arm to make any throw there is and I was not talking about McKee it was someone else.

We have a couple that should be alright in Wilson and Reynolds they are the only two that has thrown alot in varisty. McKee was getting some games under his belt until he got hurt. We had a few others throw in some games also but these three is what everyone I have talked to seems to be the main ones as of now. I guess things could change once practice starts and the coaches sees who comes out for the team.

This is a few of the players that I know have pitched sometime while playing.

I think Jones pitch some last year cannt remember for sure.

There could even be a dark horse that is not on this list that has been talked about quarterback. It just depeneds on who comes out and plays this coming year. Will this up and coming season be more of the run or will it be passing or closer to 50/50.

Boyles has not played in two years.

I thought that Raceland missed alot of open shots with a team like Elliott you must shoot the ball passing will not score you points. I dont know if the Rams was scared to shoot hopefully they have learned from this game. Elliott could have won this by a larger amout if they wanted hats off tothe coaching staff of Elliott.

Well . . . I just got home from the game and I've got to say that the most exciting part of the entire evening were the technicals (both called on Raceland). One was on the Raceland coach and the other was on a Raceland player.

 

We really didn't play that well but I figured they were conserving their energy for all the games over the next week.

I thought the fall of the cheerleader was kind of exciting also. He did get up and went back to cheering.

I think Austin Johnson will step up and help on the line this year also.

Looking closer to 8:00pm the Lady Rams are playing a jv game at 5:00pm and the varsity will play after that about 6:45pm.

Raceland will be playing Russell Feb 2. This game is being played at Russell.

Any thoughts of this game.

Raceland plays Ashland monday and it was a starter.

Just saw on the basketball thread about Tyler Boyles post #5 that he is not going to play baseball this spring to work on football for college.

This is true he will be working on basketball and football from what I was told tonight. Wish him the best and good luck at the next level.

How did the weight meet go at Coal Grove?

Did alright had some players place in all weight classes. Team placed 3rd missed 2nd by few lbs. I believe.

Raceland has to find someone to help in scoring and the guards got exposed in this game. Greenup had a good game plan they attacked the guards and they had trouble with it.

You do know that we have the Ashland Daily as a newspaper.

Fellas, you have let EKY slip off of BGP! I check up on you every now and then, but rarely do I find much about our side of the state! Whats going on? Less posters? Less to talk about? Hurts my baseball heart!

The only time you hear about EKY Baseball is durning tournament time. The sports writers and voters of different polls only think that sports is played from NKY to Lexington and Lexington to Louisvllle so it takes them time to hear about EKY.

I would like to send congrats to Tyler Boyles for scoring 1000pts and setting a record for Raceland by hitting 10 3pointers. The game was against Bath County but they gave him the game ball before the Greenup game.
